The strangers.......
The vanguard (of Islam)- the first of those who forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid, and (also) those who follow them in (all) good deeds,- well-pleased is Allah with them, as are they with Him: for them hath He prepared gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: that is the supreme felicity. [At Taubah,100]
[At-Taubah, 100]
Abu Hurairah relates that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “Islam began strange, and it will become strange again just like it was at the beginning, so blessed are the strangers. [Sahih Muslim (1/130)]This religion began strange......
The words in Quran are strange. The Arabs, they know those words but not like that. Not like how it was written in Quran.
"How come this word in this way?"It was strange for them. Even Umar r.a didn't know, but his a great poet at that time
Before Islam come, Rasulullah S.A.W is knew as Al-Amin, but when he asked them to worship ALLAH, they thought he was saying something strange. And on that day he become a stranger. One by one who follow him become strangers.
Everyone knew Abu Bakr r.a. for his manner and wealth, but he too become a stranger on that day. On the day Umar r.a. went to kill Rasulullah, he also become a stranger. Saidina Ali, Saidina Uthman Affan, Khalid Al-Walid, Musa'b Ibn Umair, Jaafar Ibn Abi Thalib, Saidina Hamzah..... and lot more.
They are the strangers back then in the beginning of Islam. We are the strangers now. We need to connect ourselves to these strangers
The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys. [Al-Baqarah, 285]
Get to know them, so that we will never forget our root, our legacy. So that we realize that we still have something to achieve. We still have responsibility to carry. To breath as true a Muslim.
