'Why is ALLAH doing this to me?'

'Why is ALLAH doing this to me?'
'Why is it even though I'm a Muslim, I didn't do anything wrong, bad things still happening to me?'
***

The fundamental issue here is our definition of what is good and what is bad. I would like to share with you guys an ayah:

"..But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And ALLAH Knows, while you know not." al-Baqarah : 216

This reliance on ALLAH, acknowledging, that ALLAH knows what better for us than we even know for ourselves and that HE cares more for us than anyone in the world would care for. ALLAH loves HIS believing slaves more than anyone else. This is actually the promise of ALLAH.

"Say, [O Muhammad], "If you should love Allah , then follow me, [so] Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."  ali-Imran : 31

When ALLAH loves, you cannot compare that love with anybody else, there is no comparison to that. There is no mother that would loves her child as ALLAH loves HIS slaves. So first we need to understand that ALLAH is not putting us through anything out of spite, hatred, abandonment or anything like these.

Who would ALLAH loves most in the face of the earth? The Messenger S.A.W right? The Messenger gets revelation (wahyu) and he'll delivers them to the people and he really loves to get the revelation. And then, there is a period of time where he stopped getting revelation. There is a gap, and people start to taunt The Messenger S.A.W. Very deeply hurting his feeling and still there is no revelation. Can you imagine the sense of concern and fear that he bares? Thinking that he might have done something that make ALLAH angry with him. Then ALLAH reveal a consolation to him

"Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you" ad-Dhuha : 3

Find you you consolation in Quran. Read the words of ALLAH sincerely and you'll find console in it. You'll find advice in it, you'll find comfort in it, you'll find the struggle of those who suffer much more than you and ALLAH helps them. ALLAH helps.

ALLAH took some worldly things away from us so we will learn to rely more on HIM. What more a slave to do than to rely on his Creator? The absent and present of health, wealth, youth or any of these thing is not a gauge of success or failure for a Muslim. All of these are tests to test whether we truly believe or not.

What does Ibrahim A.S. rely on when he left his wife and child in the middle of the dessert? Does he rely on the waters to came out of nowhere? No! He was relying on ALLAH! That is his only reliance! Nothing else!

ALLAH put us through tests so we can show our reliance on HIM and HIM only. And then HE'll open doors of grace and mercy that you could not imagine. Have good expectation on ALLAH. Have faith!! ^__^
